REMEDIAL CLASSES

Remedial Education helps academically weak students. bridge the gap between themselves and their peers through solidifying their core academic skills like literacy and numeracy.

LIFE SKILL EDUCATION

Adolescence, a vital stage of growth and development, marks the period of transition from childhood to adulthood. It is characterized by rapid physiological changes and psychosocial maturation.

Life skills include psychosocial competencies and interpersonal skills that help students make informed decisions, solve problems, think critically and creatively, communicate effectively, build healthy relationships, empathise with others, and cope with managing their lives in a healthy and productive manner. Essentially, there are two kinds of skills: those related to thinking, termed as “thinking skills”; and skills related to dealing with others, termed as “social skills”.

The host of factors that promote high-risk behaviour, such as alcoholism, drug abuse and casual relationships, are boredom, rebellion, disorientation, peer pressure and curiosity. The psychological push factors, such as the inability to tackle emotional pain, conflicts, frustrations and anxieties about the future, are often the driving force for high-risk behaviour. Life skills training is an efficacious tool for empowering the youth to act responsibly, take initiative and take control. It is based on the assumption that when young students are able to rise above emotional impasses arising from daily conflicts, entangled relationships and peer pressure, they are less likely to resort to anti-social or high-risk behaviours.

COMPUTER LABORATORY

In this technology-oriented world, the importance of computers has increased a lot. The students need to learn computers as it helps them in preparing for their career in a world where computers are present in all spheres of life. For this reason, Blooming Buds School in Hooghly greatly emphasizes on computer education. Our well-equipped Computer lab is furnished with adequate computers. The school prepares each child to face today’s hi-tech world of computers. Students are instructed to learn the basics of computer and its uses from Class III onwards.

COMPOSITE SCIENCE LABORATORY

Our well- designed Composite Science Laboratory meets the criteria of making learning more engaging and interesting through innovative science experiments which bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and their application in everyday life to the students. MATHEMATICS LABORATORY

The mathematics laboratory in our school aims to foster mathematical awareness, skill building, positive attitude, and learning by doing experiments on various topics of mathematics, such as Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration, Trigonometry, Calculus, Coordinate Geometry, etc. It is the place where students can learn certain concepts using concrete objects and verify many mathematical facts and properties using models, measurements, and other activities. Teachers are always ready to explain and demonstrate many mathematical concepts, facts, and properties using concrete materials, models, charts, etc. from the laboratory and also encourage students to prepare similar models and charts using materials like thermocol, cardboard, Art papers, Chart Papers, etc. in the laboratory. Thus, it exhibits relatedness of mathematics with day to day life problems.

SCIENCE LABORATORY

The only purpose of Science Laboratories in our school is to help our students to close the gap in the achievement of learning outcomes so that classroom transactions shift towards competency-based learning and education. Such Laboratories in our school enable students to do observations and experiments to help them to achieve a higher level of education in Science.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE & ROBOTICS LABORATORY

Interactive Al & Robotics Lab in our school is introduced for implementing applied curriculum with technology skill subjects like Coding, Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, and Machine Learning in this digital era!

YOGA & MEDITATION

The yoga classes are conducted with a sole purpose to reduce adolescents" emotional distress, anxiety along with increased students' engagement in all activities of school followed by less unexcused absences, overall mental development, stress free life and good mental health.

ART & CRAFT

In Art & Craft classes, our students are taught a variety of skills like creativity, confidence, decision making, perseverance, collaboration and accountability. Further, Art Integrated project work is made compulsory by CBSE for the development of the wholesome personality of the learners. It also helps to showcase their talent at various events in inter school and intra school competitions.

SPORTS AND FUNCTION

School organizes different sports events in the vast playground such as Athletics, football, Cricket, volleyball, Badminton, Kho-Kho, kabaddi etc, and also make students participate in different games and sports both at in inter school and intra school levels. TAIKWONDO & AEROBICS

Celebrations of Rabindra Jayanti, Teachers' Day, Independence Day, Children's Day, etc. are made by singing, dancing, Recitation, Dramatizing and many more for spreading joy which directly impact academics and make students strive for better scores.

QUIZ & COMPETITIONS

Students are motivated and encouraged to participate in different competitions both in zonal, state and National level: Essay Writing, Handwriting, Drawing, Painting, collage making, Quiz, etc. are a few areas where students participate every year. Such activities are considered as a platform to showcase students' talent and participation in such activities is considered as a stepping-stone for students to achieve greater things in life. BBS makes all students participate in Olympiad Exam with an aim not only to test students' understanding. level of knowledge and power of reasoning but also to improve the logical thinking skills and faster working of brains to give a career path to young ones.

CWSN ADMISSION (Children with Special Needs)

The School has made special facilities for the CWSN students like, ramps and elevators/ lifts at entry/exit points for wheelchair users. Separate CWSN toilets for girls and boys at every floor of school building, and other possible infrastructural facilities in accordance with the provisions laid down in RPWD Act-2016 and under Rule 14.5.2.
